Varsha Sripathmabavan

Varsha is currently studying Medicine (MBBS5) at St George’s University of London, having begun her studies in 2023. She achieved AAA at A Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology in 2022, and also completed an EPQ with a grade A. Her strong academic background is further highlighted by her GCSE results, which include a Level 9 in Chemistry and Level 8s in Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.

She has gained valuable teaching experience as a teaching assistant at the Eleven Plus Exams tuition centre, where she worked with children from year three to year six in subjects such as Maths, English and Reasoning. Varsha also mentored year twelve students in Psychology, adapting her teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student.

Additionally, she has also supported the instruction of younger students in Carnatic vocal music, further demonstrating her versatility, leadership and well-rounded experience. She is bilingual, speaking both English and Tamil fluently, and has developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through various volunteering roles and activities.

Varsha's passion for science is evident through her participation in the Medic Mentor Awards Programme and her achievement of a silver award in the Chithambara Maths Challenge.
