About Daniel
Daniel earned his place at Imperial College London after achieving A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, placing him among the top-performing students in the country. His academic journey through Merchant Taylors’ School, one of the UK’s leading selective schools, reflects years of discipline, strong exam technique and a deep understanding of how to study effectively. At GCSE, he achieved grade 9s across all sciences and Maths,
What sets Daniel apart as a tutor is not only his academic strength but the way he teaches. He actively shares the techniques, habits and small wins that helped him achieve such strong results. He breaks down complex Biology processes into clear steps, helps students structure their thinking in Maths and builds confidence through repetition and pattern recognition. His experience mentoring younger pupils and volunteering with children of different needs has shaped his calm, patient teaching style which works incredibly well for Year 9 learners.
Daniel will be teaching both KS3 and GCSE... the key progression years that shape long-term academic outcomes. At KS3 (Years 7–9), early gaps need to be identified and closed, strong routines established, and confidence built so students enter GCSE with solid foundations.
At GCSE level, Daniel continues this progression by delivering the full curriculum with precision, strengthening exam technique, developing high-performing study habits, and addressing any remaining gaps to secure top grades. His approach ensures students feel prepared, secure, and consistently ahead at every stage of their journey.
Daniel says "Year 9 is where everything starts to click for GCSEs. My goal is to help students work through their gaps, understand the why, spot patterns and develop the study habits that work as fast as possible. The techniques that helped me reach A*A*A* are the same ones I teach my students."
